brief Create a web countdown timer for Round Table’s new pizza reveal.
Using the website’s comment feature, I collected statements from Round Table Pizza fans. These were used to procedurally generate fans waiting outside of an animated restaurant for the launch of the new pizza.
Each day the crowd grew larger. Hovering over individuals would reveal fan’s submitted statements, pulled in real-time from the site database (though screened for family-friendly appropriateness, of course).
On the day of the launch, a sequence triggered which lowered the banners, revealing the new Rostadoro Pizza. The doors of the restaurant opened, and the animated characters filed in to eat! Finally, a full description of the new menu item was displayed.
The online countdown mirrored television media that depicted fans eagerly anticipating the new pizza.
